Okay, where to start? First of all, I wanted to thank all of you for commenting on my last post! Some of your comments left me speechless, proud and happy. I had no idea how much you love this site and it’s also great to see that my work is being appreciated. That means a lot to me and I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart. Thank you!!! Of course, I won’t close this site! Yeah, I was in a bad mood when I wrote my last post, but I worked to hard to let go of this site soo ‘easily’. While, I really enjoyed reading all your comments, I wanted to excuse myself to the visitor who wrote this one comment. I judged too fast and understood the comment different than it was meant in the first place. I’m still unsure, if I did the right thing telling you all about it. I hope, we can continue this site without any harsh feelings on both sides! Back to Ziyi! On June 26, Ziyi attended the 10th Annual White Tie and Tiara Ball to Benefit the Elton John Aids Foundation in association with Chopard held at Sir Elton John’s home in Old Windsor, England. She wore a diamond necklace composed of 98.18ct fancy shaped diamonds, pear diamond drop earrings (6.59ct) and a large white gold bangle bracelet set with diamonds (7.99ct). Simply beautiful!

Okay, I’m rather pissed right now and while I usually don’t put too many emotions into my posts, I have to do it now! After searching the web for new things for this site, I got following comment: “I’m waiting for great updates! Please add many many pictures!” by one of our visitors. Maybe, I’m the only one feelin’ this way, but I’m hurt by this unpolite and disrespectful comment. I’m updating when I have something to update about, whether it’s pics or news. Ziyi isn’t super famous and there are days where it’s difficult to find something new. I don’t know, if you know that, but running a fansite (even a smaller one like this) is a lot of work and it takes a lot of time. Sometimes, it takes you awhile to find even something ’simple’ like news and it’s no fun, if you work your ass off and all you’re getting back are comments like this one. It makes you think, if the site is worth your time, when people don’t appreciate your work. It’s early morning (atleast where I live) and I’m thinking about closing this site. I’m sorry for all those who appreciate and love this site, but a fansite should be fun and I really don’t need crap like this… I finish this post with a question: What makes an update great?

Chinese actress Zhang Ziyi is in the spotlight once again, but not as an actress. This time, Zhang Ziyi is hosting an English TV program titled “The Story of Wildlife,” which aims to draw attention to wild animals facing extinction. Zhang shot the program last December at a conservation area in Sabah, a region in Malaysia, Xiaoxiang Morning Post reported. The trailer of the program shows Zhang visiting a tropical rainforest and introducing some species of the nearly-extinct wildlife. Although the insects in the rainforest are potentially harmful, Zhang insisted going into the rainforest herself to give the audience a closer look at the animals. After spending three days with a pair of orphaned orangutans, Zhang experienced their deteriorating living environment firsthand. This primate, which acts much like humans, is often captured and regarded as a pet. Some wildlife experts predict that they will die out in ten years if no effective measures are taken. As a host, Zhang interviewed the conservator as well as local inhabitants to bring well-rounded information to the audience. Zhang donated her talent to the program since it focuses on promoting wildlife concerns. Read the rest of this entry »

I came across these candids of Ziyi and Vivi from May 06. They were seen leaving Da Silvano Restaurant in New York. Ziyi looked quite happy and smiled for the cameras. |
